The "Democrats" Party
This is a set of facts that everyone should know who encounters the name of Yair Golan's (יאיר גולן) "Democrats" party (הדמוקרטים), and especially calls to vote for them.
(1) Yair Golan's "Democrats" party is a member (full member) of the Socialist International.
(2) Also a full member of the Socialist International is the Fatah party, headed by Mahmoud Abbas, who also heads the Palestine Liberation Organization and calls himself "President of the State of Palestine"
Mahmoud Abbas completed his postgraduate studies at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow. In 1982, M. Abbas defended his candidate (PhD-equivalent) dissertation at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences on the topic "The Connection between Zionism and Nazism," and is also the author of a number of works, among them the book "Lenin on the Zionist Movement." Abbas — and documents exist to this effect — is a KGB agent (now the FSB and SVR, with the operational alias "Krotov"
The second-largest party, after Fatah, within the PLO headed by Mahmoud Abbas is the Marxist-Leninist party "Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine," one of whose leaders was KGB agent (documents exist to this effect) Wadie Haddad, the organizer of a series of terrorist attacks for which he received weapons from the KGB, including the hijacking of the aircraft to Entebbe airport.
(3) Also a full member of the Socialist International is the "Progressive Socialist Party" of Lebanon. Its military wing — the People's Liberation Army — was organized and armed by Fatah/the PLO.
(4) Members of the Socialist International with consultative status (consultative parties) also include: a) the "Palestinian Popular Struggle Front" party, which is a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization and has organized a whole series of terrorist attacks, and b) the "Palestinian National Initiative" party
(5) The Socialist International is the successor to the so-called First and Second Internationals. The First International was founded in 1864. Its Founding Manifesto and Provisional Rules were written by Karl Marx, who also coined the name "International" itself.
The Frankfurt Declaration of 1951, published on the Socialist International's website as its current core programmatic document, proclaims the struggle against capitalism and the building of socialism as the organization's principal aims. It recognizes that socialism is first and foremost a movement of wage-earners, and states that the aim of socialism is to free people from dependence on "the minority who own or control the means of production."
(6) António Guterres, former head of the Socialist International (1999–2005), currently serves as Secretary-General of the United Nations. In that capacity he sought to justify Gaza's attack on Israel (his famous remark that it "did not happen in a vacuum"), and supports the activities of UNRWA, which effectively functions as an umbrella providing financial and propaganda support for terror and war against Israel.
(7) In its resolution of May 24, 2025 (Istanbul, Türkiye), the Socialist International declared the Israeli army's military actions in Gaza to be "totally unjustified" (the ongoing onslaught in the Gaza Strip is totally unjustified), and stated that it would make "all possible efforts" to establish a "Palestinian state" as "an independent and sovereign state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital."
And in this connection, in this same resolution, the Socialist International declared its full support in the region for its two member parties and its solidarity with them: the Fatah party and the Democrats party ("our member party in Palestine, Fatah, and our member party in Israel, the Democrats"). Yes, precisely so: "Fatah" and "the Democrats."
